Kapal, Navjot and Balvir were all excellent instructors. Kapal does pre-trip inspections and his methods to teach you are very effective and he has helpful teaching tips to help you remember everything. I appreciated his hands on and friendly manner with teaching. Navjot and Balvir are the road and backing instructors, they are AWESOME and they both teach you very helpful driving/backing techniques. They teach backing and road a bit different so it is good to have different ways to drive (especially backing) to help you. These guys are great at what they do and they all have very friendly personalities to ease you into everything when you’re ready.I would like to thank Powan and Raj for helping me set everything up, they are very efficient. They were also very accommodating with schedules and were able to tweak the schedule so I could make up days.I cannot think of anything that the A1 Transportation Academy could change to do better, they were hands down the best learning experience I’ve ever had.Thank you A1 Transportation Academy!

I would highly recommend A1 school for acquiring your AZ. The staff and the instructors are very professional and patient. They are so flexible in scheduling your class time, be it PTI, backing or road classes and this was a big relief and it exceeded my expectations since I had a full time job. Instructors are highly experienced and every class was productive. They just don't teach you to pass the road test but the concepts on how to handle the truck in all circumstances and that is key and it really helped me to clear my exam.Overall it was a real pleasure and fun ride 🙂 I am so happy I choose A1 school.Last but not the least, a big big shout out to Blavir, navjot and Kapal sir for their time and guidance.Cheers!!!

First, I would like to thank everyone who helped me get the AZ license.Scott, my in-class trainer, was great. He explained everything in detail and was always ready to answer any questions. Scott helped me understand the safety theories associated with the truck industry and gave me valuable tips for working in the retail industry. Lucky Sir who helped me with my registration. Raj who always responded to me and responded to my schedule. We would also like to thank Satyajit, Kapal and Balvir for their valuable knowledge and hands-on training in the garden and on the streets.Above all, I would like to express my gratitude and Appreciation to KAPAL. He helped me fine-tune my PTI, coupling and uncoupling training. I asked 1,000 questions and he helped me understand both theoretical and practical concepts. Okay so I’d have to say the way they do things is excellent and it was well worth the time and money, they give you all the tools to succeed. I passed my exam first try with no problem. My advice to people who decide to go in the direction of this school is to take it seriously and put in as much time as you can and be willing to make mistakes and learn from them. AllIn all I’ll never forget my time there and I very much appreciate these guys for the time they put into me and helping me through the process. A1 trucking school is the best school of trucking that I recommend to all you guys. They help me in clearing my A-Z test. Very amiable and courteous enviornment. Instructors and office staff are very helpful and quite friendly, helping each and every student by providing best and sophisticated classes. Moreover, these guys also help me in arranging a best schedule tor me in order to provide lessons. I also want to tell I got a class from kapal sir about truck inspection and (back)a day before my test, which helped me alot.

An excellent school and great instructors! I started my courses off with one of the bigger schools and did not like it at all. I learned more in just a few lessons with A1 and passed my road test. Highly recommend this school, flexible timings and friendly people. Kapal is easily one of the best PTI trainers in the GTA, encourages and stays patient till new students grasp the different vehicle components and how to inspect them. His style of teamwork is great, by the end of the course he is a great friend and not only an instructor. Balvirji planned my road lessons carefully, gradually taking me to tighter turns and challenging roads. He was always calm, watchful and let me do my mistakes and gave honest feedback which helped me overcome my mistakes finally, he is a senior figure on the yard from whom one can learn alot. Sukhpal and Satyajit were my backing trainers, both worked really hard helping me understand the technical aspect of reversing a trailer and clearing out my issues. All in all I was very happy to see my examiner being impressed with my performance in all aspects of the test and I couldn't have done it without the instructors. Memorable few months for me training at this school which I will always remember.

A1 transportation is hands down the best truck driving school in all of Canada. All instructors were very supportive and helpful in my journey to obtain an AZ license. I started my lessons about 2 months ago and I was very pleased with their training and methods. The instructors were all great and gave the exact tips and advices that the examiner was looking for. The administration department was also very helpful and when I didn’t pass the first time urged me to try again and gave me confidence for the second test. All in all a great experience and would totally recommend this academy for any inspiring truck drivers.

I would highly reccomended the A1 driving school for the AZ licence.My experience with this school has left me with the memories and experiences that would help me in coming years in my life.Experiences in the all trades of daily driving on the road. Starting with the PTI, which is the foremost stage before setting the foot in the truck. Its emence importance can gauge by the fact that only a single mistake can fail you on the test date. This whole procedure of PTI is taught in a way by the instructor, that it got embedded in your minds. Its application in a daily driving is emphasized in great details.Backing , most dreaded subject of trucking was taught by an experienced and practical instructor. His backing techniques makes learning much easier for the new learners. His approach of giving independence under his observation to the new learners boosts the confidence. For the Road classes school is lucky to have a master of the trade. His skills and his ability to read the driving students mind not only make in him watchful on the road, along with guiding the student to anticipate and negotiate the tricky GTA roads. His calm and composed approach at all the time, enables the drivers to be less panicked on the road.The schools flexible hours and routine scheduling that was tailored as per the need of the students, helps us to manage our work schedules and school classes.I would reccomend the school highly for the AZ licence and MELT.

I am very happy to share that, i got my AZ through A1 transportation academy and i had great experience and the trainers are also well experienced, and classes schedules are very good here.... and in last I recommend everyone and suggest that every part of classes is important even its Daily inspection or Backing.

Recommended by a friend. Passed AZ from this school. MELT program taught in class and in truck very detailed. Kapil is very professional instructor. Road and backing taught by professional/experienced and trained staff (Balbir paji and sukhpal). Training is one on one and review performance and correct it on the spot. Joining this institute was a Big step for me, a total 360 degree career change & it came with many challenges. Covid, lockdowns, my learning challenges but one thing which never changed was the attitude of the institute towards me and my goal to pass the test in first attempt, which I did.Starting from the training administrator Raj, she has always been hearing me literally every other day and my unending requests for training accommodation and asking for classes more often.Moving to Trainers, starting from Kapal, our PTI trainer, who keeps his patience to the maximum level when it comes to training esp truck training, and if he loses his patience, it means the student is taking the classes for granted and is too casual but then also he sticks to make him learn and doesn’t get the moral of the student down.Our Driving and over all instructor Balvir Sir, the backbone of the institute when it comes to driving skills and the perfect mentor one can have. He’s the person who is strict to the core on the road but then that only helps to pass this test.Our backing instructors Satya Sir and Sukhi Sir, their techniques and regular stringent feedback even on new ways of backing helped us grasp the backing skills very quickly and effectively, esp when Drive Test started testing students on new backing skills without any prior intimation.Our Air-brake instructor Multani Sir’s expertise and in-house training helped us clear our Z license.Last but not the least, the leader Lucky Singh who runs the show at A1, has accommodated us on every aspect from helping us to get onboard, the fees payments, and proving us as many practical classes without an eyebrow raised.I thank the entire team at A1 for helping me reach the goal and now pursue my career ahead and I wish all of them at A1 to carry the best training practices ahead and remain the number 1 Truck Training Institute.
